Engineer-led · Owner-operated

Built by the engineer on call.

Garnet's three production lanes are designed, built, and operated by the same person you talk to. No staff augmentation tier. No account-manager wall. The engineering decision and the customer conversation are the same conversation.

How the work runs

One operator. Three lanes. No wall.

"I'd rather operate three production lanes well than 'manage' a hundred. The engineering decision and the customer conversation are the same conversation."

Garnet runs three production lanes — GEO for AI search visibility, Audit Retainer for senior-engineer-on-retainer architecture work, Sentinel-as-a-Service for production watch + AI security, Cluster Ops for managed cluster + observability. Specialty engagements (data-pipeline forensics, ERP rescue, BI rebuild) fold into Audit Retainer; we don't spin up a fifth lane to make the brochure look bigger.

The trade-off is deliberate: less surface area, more depth. The engineer who answers your Discord ping wrote the code. The engineer who wrote the code ships the fix. Decisions, deploys, and incident response stay inside the same engineering process — fewer dropped contexts between layers, more accountable outcomes.

Engineering surface area

Six disciplines. One operator.

Engineering breadth across the lane platform. Each capability shipped on a real engagement before it became a service.

💎

D365 F&O Architecture

X++, SysOperation batches, extension-only patterns. Fortune-500 supply-chain rollouts processing 500K+ daily transactions, zero overlayering risk.

☁️

Cloud Infrastructure

Azure, AWS, hybrid cloud at scale. Distributed systems with measurable SLOs, not aspirational uptime claims.

🤖

AI & Automation

Custom AI agents, RAG, autonomous tool generation. JGPT — self-improving assistant with feedback loops — runs internal Garnet operations.

📊

Data Engineering

ETL pipelines, real-time analytics, data architecture. Power BI dashboards and Azure SQL pipelines for data-driven growth, not vanity dashboards.

🔐

Security & Compliance

Enterprise-grade security, audit trails, regulatory compliance. Real attestable evidence trails — not theatre.

🎨

Full-Stack Development

Backend APIs to premium frontend experiences. WebGL, three.js, the works — every garnetgrid.com lane is built and operated in-house.

The practice

What production-grade systems require.

  1. 01

    Short feedback loops

The engineer who answers your Discord ping is the engineer who wrote the code and ships the fix. No handoff queue.

  2. 02

    End-to-end ownership

Decisions, code, deploys, and incident response stay inside the same engineering process — fewer dropped contexts between layers.

  3. 03

    Measurable quality

Every lane ships with logs, metrics, and runbooks. If it can't be measured, it doesn't go to production.

  4. 04

    Tight iteration cycles

Small batch sizes, frequent deploys, reversible changes. Production moves in days, not quarters.

  5. 05

    Coherent system design

The lane platform, the operator-only Discord, the Stripe webhooks, the Postal mail server — engineered to work together. All measurable, all owned.

Origin & evolution

From hardware hacking to enterprise orchestration.

Fifteen years. One trajectory. Real ledger of ships, scales, and learnings.

2016 The computer surgeon

Building software and hardware with surgical precision. Maintaining a fleet of Ethereum miners — understanding the physical layer of computation before mastering the logical.

Hardware · GPU optimization · Mining ops
2017 The entrepreneur

Co-built ThinkJuice, a digital marketing agency, alongside Troy Osinoff and Michael Lisovetsky. Learned how to scale business value through technology, and how to scope down before scoping up.

2018 System genesis

Distributed systems. High-availability web applications. Production-grade engineering work — the kind that has runbooks, alerts, and postmortems — begins.

2023 Business intelligence

Architected Power BI dashboards and Azure SQL ETL pipelines at Allstar Innovations. Dashboards that drove decisions, not dashboards that drove dashboards.

Power BI · Azure SQL · Analytics

Founded Garnet Grid Consulting LLC. Three production lanes. Built JGPT — a self-improving AI assistant with RAG, feedback loops, and autonomous tool generation — that runs Garnet's internal operations. Every engagement blueprints a path from legacy chaos to automated clarity.

Garnet Grid is built and operated by an engineering team led by Jakub. The lane platform, the operator-only Discord, the Stripe webhooks, the Postal mail server — all engineered, all measurable, all owned.

Design signature · 2026

"Every page on garnetgrid.com is engineered the same way: small, sharp, owned. This one is the signature — the same hands that built the lanes built this."

— Jakub Rezayev, Founder & Principal Engineer
